Symposium Introduction

The steady increase in water consumption in the world leads to the danger of "water Hunger, hence the need to develop measures to cost-effective use of water resources.

In addition to high costs, lack of water caused by its growing pollution by dumping of industrial waste into rivers and especially chemical production and communication of wastewater. Bacterial pollution and toxic chemicals (eg phenol) leads to gangrene reservoirs. Harmful substances entering the water: oil, petroleum products (as a result of oil production, transportation, processing, use of oil as a fuel and industrial raw materials), toxic synthetic substance (used in industry, transport, public utilities), metals (mercury, lead, zinc, copper, chromium, tin, manganese). Harmful effects have also Molev alloy forests on rivers, which is often accompanied by congestion.

In rivers and lakes come and washed from the soil by rain fertilizers - Nitrates and phosphates, which in high concentrations can dramatically change type and composition of water and various chemicals - pesticides, used in agriculture to control pests.
