Symposium Introduction
Human impact on flora and fauna.
Human impacts on wildlife consists of direct influence and
indirect changes in the environment. One form of direct impact on
Plants and animals - logging. Finding themselves suddenly in the open
habitats, plants of the lower tiers of the forest have an adverse effect
direct solar radiation. In thermophilic plants, herbaceous and
shrub layers destroys chlorophyll, inhibited the growth of some species
disappear. On the ground, cutting settle light-loving plants that are resistant to
elevated temperature and lack of moisture. Changing and fauna: species
related by stands disappear, or migrate to other places.
Tangible impact on the vegetation cover to provide massive
forest visits vacationers and tourists. In these cases, the adverse effect
is trampling, soil compaction and pollution. Wood
plants wither. Direct human impact on wildlife is
extermination of species of food for him or other material
favor.
It is believed that in 1600 people were massacred more than 160 species and
subspecies of birds and at least 100 species of mammals. In the long list
extinct species had been on tour - a wild bull, who lived in Europe. In
XVIII century was extirpated described Russian naturalist GV Steller
sea cow - aquatic mammal, referring to the category of Siren.
